As part of my responsibilities in UMSU International and CISSA (Computing and Information Systems Student Association), I made, conceptualized, and copywritten several social media and other marketing materials.


End-of-Semester Survey - UMSU International

Upon seeing the bigger scale large amount of engagement with our events this semester, I proposed the idea to conduct an end-of semester survey to measure the satisfaction our international student body.

I created the survey on Google Forms, with the focus on asking about how we could provide events that cater to what international students need, while also upholding diversity and inclusivity. To promote the survey, I created designs for Facebook/Instagram story, Facebook/Instagram/Xiaohongshu post, and a banner to provide an eye catching visual in the e-newsletter. The aim was to be straight to the point and bold to ensure that readers quickly understand what the designs convey, while also providing pictures from our events to remind readers of their experiences.


Product Connect - CISSA

I was tasked to design a logo and graphics for Product Connect, a career and networking event for UI/UX and Product related opportunities. Although the event did not end up running due to scheduling issues, I have made the logo and a design with two different color palettes and dimensions, where one is for Facebook/Instagram post and the other is for Facebook/Instagram story. The logo was inspired by a chain to hone in the theme of networking. The blue color scheme on focuses more on fitting the general CISSA logo, which boasts a similar light blue. The purple color scheme fits better with CISSA Product's other posts, which lean more towards purple color schemes.

Get Certified - UMSU International

I was tasked to design a logo and graphics for Get Certified, an event through which students are able to to obtain nationally accredited certifications in barista, first aid, and responsible services of alcohol training. There are 5 dimensions made, in order from the top and left to right: webtile logo, poster, Instagram post, Facebook event, and E-Newsletter Banner.


UMSU International Lounge Banner - UMSU International

To help with the branding of UMSU International, I volunteered to create a banner design to place in front of the UMSU International Lounge. The color scheme of the design is influenced by UMSU International's colorful glove mascot, Glovey, seen on the top left of the design. The stamp-style icons of various colors throughout the background are also used to represent the range of events and initiatives of UMSU International. Overall, the design is meant to feel fun and welcoming to its viewers.
